His given name is João Teixeira de Faria, but to millions of people, not just in his native Brazil but also worldwide, he is known as Joao de Deus - John of God.

Arguably the world's most powerful and successful spiritual healer, John of God is a trance medium and spirit surgeon famous for providing what can only be described as miraculous cures of otherwise incurable illnesses - cancer, aids, motor neuron disease, multiple sclerosis, blindness and so many more.

His consulting rooms and operating surgery is the Casa de Dom Inácio (the house of Saint Ignatius De Loyola) - a spiritual hospital and healing centre in central Brazil.

His Story

João de Teixeira de Faria , “John of God”, was born in l942 in Brazil. He was acknowledged to be clairvoyant from a very early age and was able to predict events before they happened. This clairvoyant ability allowed him to save his mothers life.

It was at the age of sixteen that John’s life took a dramatic turn. Travelling from town to town in search of work, exhausted and hungry, John stopped at a stream to drink. There the vision of a beautiful lady appeared before him and told him he was needed at a church in the nearby town of Campo Grande (Matto Grosso) and that there people were waiting for him. He followed her directions and all was as she had predicted. All he remembered was arriving though until hours later when he awakened and was told that King Solomon had incorporated in him and healed many people. He protested that it was only exhaustion that had made him faint, but the many witnesses to his healing miracles were in no doubt of what had really happened. Over the following weeks and months John entered an intense period of instruction and guidance.

John of God was directed to dedicate his life to healing others and to never accept payment for this work. It is a guideline he follows to this day.

For eight years following his period of instruction John of God travelled the region finding work when he could and devoting his remaining time to healing others. People came to him by the hundreds as word of his abilities spread.

As a man, John of God possesses a gentle dignity and sensitivity born out of humility and a life serving others. As a medium with extraordinary capabilities he is totally dedicated to the healing through incorporating the Spirit Entities that work through him.

For 43 years John of God has served as the channel for over 30 Spirit Entities. Through them he performs healing for the thousands who visit him every week at his centre, the Casa de Dom Inácio de Loyola, in Brazil.

Many who seek out John of God have run out of medical options. Almost everyone is profoundly changed by their experiences at the Casa. In fact there is a room full of walkers, walking sticks and wheel chairs that have been discarded after John of Gods healings, but not all "cures" are instantaneous. The majority take time and as with orthodox medicine, there can be no guarantee.

Casa de Dom Inácio

Casa de Dom Inácio was established in 1978 and is a sanctuary of love and healing.

This beautiful setting not only overlooks an expanse of hills and valleys but is centred on a natural energy vortex formed by quartz crystal bedrock beneath the surface.

The buildings within the complex are painted in the healing colours of blue and white and are surrounded by flower gardens and tall trees. In the centre of it all lays a large meeting hall. It is there that John of God performs his healings.
